Coastal Flood Watch (WATCH) — expires March 16, 2026 at 3:00 PM GMT+4

Areas affected: Anne Arundel

Coastal Flood Watch issued March 15 at 10:49PM EDT until March 16 at 10:00PM EDT by NWS Baltimore MD/Washington DC

  • WHAT…Up to one foot of inundation above ground level possible in low lying areas due to tidal flooding.

  • WHERE…Shoreline in Anne Arundel County.

  • WHEN…From Monday afternoon through Monday evening, especially around the time of high tide.

  • IMPACTS…At 3.2 feet, water begins to approach businesses on Dock Street in Annapolis. The City Dock parking lot is flooded. Compromise Street is flooded.

  • ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Tides two to two and a half feet above normal. The next high tide at Annapolis U.S. Naval Academy is at 3:42 AM and 4:30 PM.

What to do: If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may be closed. Do not drive around barricades or through water of unknown depth. Take the necessary actions to protect flood-prone property.
